Mr. Knowlton is very knowledgeable and passionate about teaching new drivers. His skid car program is huge bonus for students. My son has been driving with me with his permit for nearly two years and I was skeptical that he would find the class interesting but for my own piece of mind, I sent him to through the program. He learned a lot and really enjoyed it. Its interesting to see the change in his driving technique. Im far more comfortable with his driving skills now. Thanks!
I was paying my bill at Enstar and this gentleman was walking in speaking about our lovely day (as the snow had begun to fly once again) about safe driving in this weather slow going causes accidents with impatient people zipping around and being completely unsafe.. the reasons why good tires are important and how to understand what you are driving 4wd, front wheel drive, or all wheel being born and raised here, driving the best way is a thoughtful process and i for one, am happy someone is still trying to instill this
The instructor Brian is a fantastic teacher who taught my older daughter to drive previously. We sought him out again so my younger daughter could receive his excellent instruction. She loved the class and it was definitely money well spent. She also took the Skidcar class and learned everything she needs to know to be safe on the snow and ice this winter. We highly recommend Alaska Safe Driver Academy.

Filled in the few (okay, maybe more than a few ;-) ) blank spots her old dad left in her driver education and she is a more confident driver because of it!! The team was so responsive and amazing. The training was so in depth and educational. The multiple days of training made it easier to absorb all the information and remember it for my driving time. I had some special circumstances during my driving training and the team was so responsive and accommodating to that. Overall amazing experience with so much great learning. I highly recommend this program.

Hands down great experience! Brian, CJ, Angie, and all the guys that work there are complete professionals, and know their stuff. The owner, Brian, is extremely easy going, and knows what he is teaching. You will not get this great of a service anywhere else.
I took the class and I am a teenager. I believe I learned some very valuable this class. The corse I took has possibly saved my life since I have been in a few skidds and this class gave me the right information for how to successfully get out of a skidd. Money well spent
Amazing experience with this academy! They offered the skid car training I had wanted but I didnt even know if anyone in town was offering it. The classroom training, thats 2 hours. More instruction then competitors, plus the skid car, plus the drivers exam was $5 less than the competitors that offered not nearly as much. We had some special circumstances during the driving time which they accommodated and focused on my daughter having a positive experience. Absolutely wonderful to work with, flexible, caring and informative. And informative. I highly recommend and if I had a second child they would be going here too. Thanks Angie you guys are awesome!!!
